Sounds familiar?

The problem isn't you.
It's that no one has guided you well.

If you're an amateur trying to improve, you've probably spent years going in circles. And it's not for lack of effort.

You've spent months feeding games to Stockfish. You see the question marks, you know you're playing badly somewhere… but the engine doesn't explain why, or what to do so you don't make the same mistake there again.

A private coach would cost between €200 and €300 a month. Which means: impossible if chess is your hobby, not your job. So you train alone, on intuition, with no idea whether what you're doing is worth anything.

You watch videos, read books, solve random puzzles. But no one tells you whether you're working on what you actually need. Because no one has read your games. No one knows where you, specifically, are going wrong.

The solution

Your personal coach.
At a fraction
of the cost.

RoninChess isn't another puzzle platform. It's an AI system trained on the founder's knowledge that studies your games, builds your diagnosis and designs your plan — adapting every week to how you improve.

The first time you log in you won't find a sea of generic features. You'll find a plan built for you, your own games already read, and a voice that knows what it's talking about. Like having a coach available whenever you need one.

What the system does

Five things no
chess platform gives you.

01 · The engine's “why”

The engine says what. We say why.

The system explains, in plain language and without empty jargon, the structural reason behind every engine evaluation. Because knowing your move is worth -0.8 without understanding why is a waste of time.

02 · Diagnosis

It knows where you lose points — not the average player

The system studies your games and builds your profile as a player, with your strengths and your weak points. No more generic advice: the system knows you and knows exactly what you need to work on, not the average player.

03 · Adaptive plan

Your training plan changes when you change

The system generates a personalized roadmap based on your available time and your weak points. And it updates it in real time as you improve. Not static. Not generic. Yours.

04 · Works with what you already use

Import from chess.com, Lichess or official PGN

If you're a federated player, use your official games. If you play online, connect your account and the system does the rest. Without leaving a single game out of the analysis. Without starting from scratch.

05 · Specific training material

All the material you need, already sorted

Everything you need to train is in RoninChess. The system holds hundreds of thousands of puzzles sorted by theme and level, plus thousands of master games analyzed and tagged by the themes that appear in them.

The way of the ronin — no master, but discipline.

The creator

Behind the AI there's
a person who knows chess.

When I was a kid, my parents spent €300 every month on private coaches. At the time I didn't appreciate it the way I should have; today I understand the sacrifice it was for them. That's why I'm building RoninChess: so that training chess properly stops being a privilege. For the beginner, for the one who's spent years at their club, for the one who enjoys it as a hobby but genuinely wants to improve.

I've been playing chess since I was 5. At 12 I became champion of Spain, and at 16 I became a FIDE Master. On top of that I'm a two-time outright champion of the Valencian Community, I hold two International Master norms, and I've played many international tournaments — including two European Championships — which has put me in contact with countless grandmasters and let me learn from them. Even so, for a long time I had no idea how to train on my own, or whether what I was doing was any good.

Beyond chess, I'm a computer engineer specialized in Artificial Intelligence. RoninChess is the exact intersection of the two: I've trained the system with my own explanations, my own examples, my own instructions. It's not a generic bot — it's my way of teaching chess, written once and available to you every time you open the platform.

No problem — the system adapts to you, whatever your level, teaching from the very basics up to more advanced ideas. If you start from scratch, your starting point will be the same as everyone else starting like you, but from there the system adapts to how you improve, setting you apart from the rest.

Yes. The patterns that recur in your games are the same in blitz, rapid and classical. The only thing that changes is how often you go wrong. That said, I don't recommend analyzing bullet games, where play is more about reflexes and the clock than the position.

No. The difference is the knowledge base. The system doesn't improvise: it draws on a corpus of concepts, patterns and explanations written by the founder from scratch. A 2370-rated FIDE Master, regional champion, who spent months documenting his understanding of the game so the system conveys it with real authority — not chatbot confidence.

Chess.com gives you puzzles, Lichess gives you Stockfish analysis, YouTube gives you videos on openings and endgames. All good, all generic and disconnected. What's missing is the thread: someone who reads your games, sees where you specifically go wrong and tells you what to work on this week. RoninChess is that thread. It doesn't replace chess.com — it sits on top, and makes the hours you already put in count.

Up to 2200 ELO, no problem. Most of what a private coach does with an amateur is diagnosis, planning and post-game analysis — exactly what the system does, every day, at a fraction of the cost. Beyond that, it's not that it loses value, but you're at a level where improving means fine-tuning very precise nuances, and where face-to-face work matters more.

The plan adapts to your real availability. If you have 20 minutes a day, the system designs 20-minute sessions. If you have more, it makes the most of it. In chess, unfortunately, effort often doesn't bring an immediate reward, but we can promise that with discipline it all comes. We don't promise magic — we promise direction.
